The 5th annual UNITY Cup London was a one-day tournament at the Lilian Bayliss Old School in London in central London. New Young Leaders were introduced who took charge and made the tournament a success with a total of 20 teams competing in separate men’s and women’s tournaments. Young people from Kids Company took part for the 5th year running and were joined by a number of community teams from around the capital. The men’s tournament was won by a team representing the community from the local area of the venue and the women’s tournament saw Haringey Borough retain their title.
Iraqi media covered the event, with Al Forat and Al Fayhaa sending reporters to interview the organisers and participants.
