Unity Cup 2012.

The UNITY Cup London was launched by former Premier League defender Zesh Rehman, the first Muslim player to play in the Premier League and captain of the Pakistan football team, with qualifiers in South London at the Aspire Centre, followed by qualifiers at Paddington Recreation Ground and finals at Paddington Recreation Ground on 14th July.

The finals included women’s as well as men’s tournaments, with Haringey Borough Women’s FC completing a hatrick of titles. The Men’s tournament was won by Woolwich Dockyard who had returned after winning the 2008 tournament.

In total over 30 teams took part representing a wide variety of London’s communities.
